Berrien County Parks (Silver Beach)
Located in St. Joseph at the mouth of the St. Joseph River, Silver Beach County Park features a clean, wide beach on Lake Michigan and public access to the South Pier. Silver Beach is also host to many special events, including activities that are a part of St. Joseph's annual Venetian Festival.

Silver Beach Carousel Society
The mission of the Silver Beach Carousel Society is to establish a new, handcarved, traditional wood carousel for St. Joseph, Michigan. The Society hopes to bring back the historic and romantic traditions of the vintage beachfront property for the artistic, educational and entertainment benefit of the people of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, Berrien County, and its many visitors from across the country.

Lake Bluff Park
St. Joseph's Lake Bluff Park offers a scenic overlook of the Lake Michigan shoreline. Located on the west side of Lake Boulevard this park is easy to access and close to free downtown parking. Plenty to do and see as you coast away in the summer breeze.

St. Joseph Today (North Pier Lighthouse)
The North Pier Lighthouse was built in 1832. The pier was extended an additional 1000 feet in 1907 and at that time the outer light was rebuilt. It is a fantastic sight and the subject of many photographers.

Venetian Festival on the St. Joseph River
The Venetian Festival is held every year in July. There is always something for everyone: food, music, games and contests, lighted boat parade, and fireworks.

Mackinac Bridge
The Mackinac Bridge is currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world. In 1998, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in Japan became the longest with a total suspension of 12,826 feet. The Great Belt Bridge in Halsskov-Sprogoe, Denmark, which also opened in 1998, is the second longest suspension bridge in the world with a total suspension of 8,921 feet. Read more:

Soo Locks

Sleeping Bear Dunes
